With each passing year the celebration of Christmas looks less and less like the Christmas that is described in the Word of God.

The celebration of the Good News of Jesus has been gradually swallowed up by other meanings, and, before we realize it, a subtle strategy has transformed the Good News into a commercial celebration. Few understand that Christmas is a precious time of proclamation.
In addition to wandering from God we still find many who don’t even have access to the dignity of a meal. And at Christmas time this becomes even more painful when we know the harsh reality of some families.

We know that there are families who are extremely poor, but who dream of being able to celebrate Christmas somehow… to have a a moment … even if it is short and lasts only one night … but a moment that could bring a sense of hope and joy.

So we have two great opportunities for you!

We can meet the needs of those in who are in need and proclaim the Good News, but where are those who have the true message of the Good News? Where are the heralds of the message of peace and hope that lasts longer than one night, one that is still there when the sun rises, one that remains when he sun goes down again, and continues day after day?  Where are those who can also proclaim justice by helping the needy?

There is an opportunity! You can be a herald of the Good News and also of God’s mercy! You can be part  of the proclamation of the miracle of God given as a gift to men.

The CHALLENGE is before you!

The challenge for the end of the year at the CADI Palhoça: to deliver a Christmas basket to each of the families involved in the PAI Program and to be heralds of the Good News!
